Here’s what you need to know before installing your 45Ah battery:
⸻
1. QS8 Connector Compatibility
The 45Ah battery uses a QS8 connector.
If your RCR still uses a battery cable with an Anderson connector, you’ll need to upgrade your battery cable to one with a QS8 connector to be compatible.
We offer both QS8-compatible batteries and QS8 battery cables to make the transition smooth.

2. Fitment by Frame Version
V1.5 and V1.75 Models:
✅ Your frame should fit the 45Ah battery without modification.
It drops in just like the 23Ah or 41Ah — you’ll want to angle the battery during install.
Tip: Tilt the side closer to the seat down first as you insert it. That angle will allow the front of the battery to clear and fit properly into the frame.
V1 Frames / Early Builds:
⚠️ You’ll likely need to modify your frame slightly due to the 45Ah’s added width.

3. Modification Steps for V1 Frames
If your 45Ah battery doesn’t fit on first try, follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery cover and, if there’s an existing battery, take it out.
2. Remove both side panels.
3. Use a grinder or cutting tool to make a small cut/slit on both the left and right side of the battery compartment frame. (See photos for reference.)
4. Use a mallet or soft hammer to bend each cut section outward slightly — just enough to allow clearance for the wider battery. (See photos for reference.)
Once complete:
• The 45Ah battery should slide in securely.
• Use battery straps to secure the battery in place.
• Connect your battery to your QS8 battery cable.
• Reinstall your side panels and battery cover.
You’re ready to ride. 😎⚡️🏍️
